In 1988, when I surrendered my heart to Jesus, I found it difficult to believe the things written in the Bible concerning the last days of earth could ever happen in my lifetime. My singular focus was to live as best I could today, so I could someday hear Jesus say, “Well done, good and faithful servant”.
Over the years, I have ministered inside and outside of the church; serving in roles that include facilitator, teacher, mentor, and caregiver; all with a focus mainly on discipleship and evangelism. During most of that time, I never gave much thought to the so-called ‘Last Days’.
About seven years ago, God opened my eyes to a pervasive, and prevailing climate of change beginning to take place in our country, the international community, and even the Church. A change that would eventually take us from a general atmosphere of apathy toward God, to godlessness, and eventually to a spirit that is blatantly anti-God, and anti-Christ. He impressed upon my heart to search the scriptures in order to discover the truth as to our present-day occurrences, the approaching destiny of planet earth and its inhabitants, and how we as Christians should be preparing ourselves for the days that lie directly ahead of us.
As I have immersed myself in His Word, I have felt a growing sense of urgency to share with others what He is speaking to my heart. My strong desire, and challenge to all, is to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to the Church. It is out of this passion that Sealed In Christ was born.
My sole purpose is to shine the light of God’s Word into the hearts of His people in these dark days; that we may be equipped to stand firm in holiness and godliness, as we eagerly await His return.
God is speaking, let us have ears to hear.
“For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.” –2 Tim 4:3
