In 1988, when I surrendered my life to Jesus, I found it difficult to believe the things written in the Bible concerning the last days of earth could ever happen in my lifetime. My singular focus was to live as best I could today, so I could someday hear Jesus say, “Well done, good and faithful servant”.
Over the years, I have ministered inside and outside of the church; serving in roles that include facilitator, teacher, mentor, and caregiver; all with a focus on discipleship and evangelism. During most of that time, I never gave much thought to the so-called ‘Last Days’.
In 2010, God opened my eyes to a pervasive and prevailing climate of change beginning to take place in our country, the international community, and even the Church. A change that would eventually take us from a general atmosphere of apathy toward God, to godlessness, and eventually to a spirit that is blatantly anti-God, and anti-Christ. He impressed upon my heart to search the scriptures in order to discover the truth as to our present-day occurrences, the approaching destiny of planet earth and its inhabitants, and how we as Christians should be preparing ourselves for the days that lie directly ahead of us.
As I have immersed myself in His Word, I have felt a growing sense of urgency to share with others what He is speaking to my heart. My strong desire, and challenge to all, is to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to the Church. It is out of this passion that Sixth Seal Ministries was born.
My sole purpose is to shine the light of God’s Word into the hearts of His people in these dark days; that we may be equipped to stand firm in holiness and godliness, as we eagerly await His return.
God is speaking; let us have ears to hear.
“For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.” –2 Tim 4:3

Hello Dee. I reread your post tonight…Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022. Thanks for refreshing my memory that you did write a blog on ‘why you write’. Thank you so much for allowing me to once again re-embracing your sole purpose for why you write.

Dee, I, Elfriede am so thankful I came across your blog through WordPress. My husband, Mike and I are born again believers, and have like you a very strong desire to advance the gospel. The world is in such dire need of it! Sometimes I think about the people in our lives who reject the Good News and Jesus Christ, and feel really sad, but I keep on representing Him in front of them and loving them. Thank you for blogging for the Lord Jesus Christ, blessings, Elfriede

I’m so happy to connect with you here on WordPress Dee. I do agree with you that there is an urgency to take heed of the Holy Spirit and what He has to say. In Matthew 24 God tells us that His children will see the signs and know when He is near. We read God’s word, we can see that so many signs point to His soon coming. But the world takes no heed.

Sadly, many if not most in the Church take no heed. But I will keep posting about it until He tells me to stop or takes me home! Thanks so much for your comment. 🙂

When I was a child I can recall and I had never forgotten, but I have forgiven with Jesus Christ helping me through it ((All)) I knew there was someone up there whom they would call God. I would go outdoors and go set on the top of the hood of our car doing some nights. Talking, and crying to who ever He was up there. Hoping He was listening to me. Today I do know He was listening. I didn’t have a great childhood. It was a lot of hurt and bitterness in our home. My mother was single, she was hurt by people etc. I always enjoyed tending Bible School, and Church. As a teen, I would go and across the street to a church on my lunch break. I was invited to go by one of my classmates. They would had open the church for 20 or 30 mins for us to come and listen to words from the Bible. I was so excited that I trying to studying the bible at home. There as I was studying, the devil came toward me and made a statement: (I don’t know why you reading that Bible!! It isn’t not going to help you.) There was some hurting words. You know the devil will use others to help do his scheming works. Later as a young woman, things was becoming so confusing to me doing that time. To were I stopped opening the bible. And got caught up into the things of this world. To move forward, I will say It was one day I had fail down on my knees crying out to Jesus Christ asking Him for His help. To forgive me!! I’m going to leave it there. My life is a book. LOL LOL. I’m thankful and grateful to be healed, and to serve Jesus Christ today. Genesis 50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. Amen!! Amen!! 🙂 \0/\0/ God Bless you!!

Through David’s blog this morning, I was led here. 1992 was the year, after growing up in the church, even wiriting curriculum, the Lord revealed Himself to me and saved me. Since then, I have been writing and teaching the truths that are hidden; revealed only as He chooses. At the age of 79, I experience Him growing sweeter every day; the joy becomes brighter through every adversity, and we can but proclaim the legacy of His kingdom. My current series are Beyond a Mere Christianity and Words of LIFE A-Z The Ordinary Vocabulary of the Christian. You are a blessing and an encouragement for continuing on through difficult times. Blessings for you as you share the truths of our Lord. Fran

I feel your sentiments exactly, Sixth Seal. I, too, feel whole heartedly that God wants us to speak out about him and how not to allow the ‘enemy’ to devour us. Why is it that people are satisfied with a trivial knowledge of the Kingdom? Don’t they know that there is no other piece of literature more truthful and proven than the Bible. Don’t people realize that they are three dimensional in form: spiritual, physical and mental. All of these fractions speaks to our intellect. All of these fractions need nurturing. Let’s help the world to WAKE UP! Thanks for following my blog. May God richly bless you in your literary efforts.

I think people’s lack of knowledge and commitment in their Christian walk is typical of our society today. I believe we’re seeing the birth of the great falling away prophesied in the Bible. That’s why I have such a burden to call out the remnant to turn to God, get serious, and stand firm in their faith. We won’t make it through what’s coming without it. Thanks for your comment!
