Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but this world makes me weary.
I’ve been trying to think of something positive to write today, but honestly I’m just tired. With all the political investigations going, the in-fighting within our federal government, the in-fighting within various groups in our country, the war over bathrooms, and gender, and statues, and this persons rights, and that persons rights. And on and on it goes.
Doesn’t anyone ever get tired of fighting? No, apparently not. Because everyone with an opinion thinks theirs is the only right one, and they will keep fighting until everyone else realizes that fact and adopts it as their own. Which will never happen, hence the constant fighting.
And now this satanically inspired abortion law in New York… It’s all so thoroughly exhausting.
I need to make some time to refresh my soul in God’s presence; just like I posted yesterday. I need Him to touch me and strengthen me, so I can continue to go on in this dark and evil world until He returns.
And tonight… I’m going to veg. No news. No TV. Maybe a good (wholesome) movie and a pizza for dinner. Then call it an early night.
God bless you, everyone.

It gives me a headache sometimes reading about some of the things that are happening or what the politicians want to happen. What movie did you watch?

But we did just watch a really great movie the other night, Killer Hunter. Have you heard of it? I highly recommend. Maybe your brother can do a review of it! 😊

Here’s the synopsis: American submarine Captain Joe Glass is on the hunt for a U.S. sub in distress in the Arctic Ocean. He soon learns that a secret Russian coup is in the offing, a conspiracy that threatens to dismantle the world order. With crew and country on the line, Glass must assemble an elite group of Navy SEALs to sneak through enemy waters, rescue the kidnapped Russian president and prevent World War III.

Even my husband, who does not profess to be a believer, said that he was going to cut down on, if not eliminate, watching the news. “It just makes me mad, and there’s little or nothing I can do about it…” I don’t quite agree with that last part – WE can PRAY, and I do. But we don’t need to focus non-stop on the problem, and I plan to spend much more time on the problem-Solver. 😉

One of the biggest problems with watching the news is that in most cases it may not even be a good representative of what’s actually going on. Not only that, as you said it’s not good to focus on the problem. We know that things are only going to get much worse before they get better, sometimes I just get overwhelmed with it all. But I know that God is good and His will and plan will prevail.
Thanks so much for your comment and encouragement. God bless you and your husband.

Dee, do me a favor. Please blog about your “following day” after you turned off the world. How did you feel the next morning. Were you refreshed? Did you receive a fresh anointing from on High? Listen, girlfriend…all I want to know is did it work. If so, I’ll back you financially and we’ll bottle it. Lord knows we need some kind of relief from all the trash and tinfoil of this world. EVEN NOW, LORD JESUS, PLEASE COME!!!

You are adorable! 🙂
Things didn’t quite go as planned last night. I did skip the news… but also pretty much everything else I was going to do. Though I did still veg, watched a comedy, then went to bed a little early.
I woke up this morning feeling pretty decent, but am now feeling like I have some kind of sickness coming on. In fact, I’m considering going home early from work with a sick stomach. Who knows, maybe this is God forcing me to shut my mind off and just be with Him.
Love and Hugs to you. ❤️

Thanks, Pastor Pete. Every now and then we have to have that down time. Living in this world is so tiring and discouraging. Thanks so much for your encouragement.

I hear you Dee, Amen! I feel the same way a lot and that new law in New York was beyond discouraging. Praise the Lord that He will make everything right in the end! I am praying for you! He will lift you up! That is a great idea to turn off the news and just chill. There is nothing new under the sun and they will still be fighting tomorrow. God’s got it. We like the Hallmark movies. 🙂 Love the verse you posted! God bless…and enjoy the pizza!
