The Biblical Defense for the Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church 1 of 3

This video series introduces and defends the Pre-Wrath Rapture view. Even if you’re not sure about the Pre-Wrath Rapture view, or flat out don’t believe it, you may still find this video series interesting, and definitely scripturally solid.

“I believe it [the Pre-Wrath Rapture view] is the most biblically provable issue that you will ever find in scripture.” Robert Van Kampen

This series is taught by Robert Van Kampen and is largely based on his book, The Sign. It presents the doctrinal view and biblical defense for the Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church contained therein. While I don’t agree with everything in the book, I do find the great majority to be what God had already shown me through His word, before I ever picked this book up. I highly recommend it.

Robert (Bob) Van Kampen
1938-1999

Robert Van Kampen was an American businessman and Christian Author. Van Kampen’s published work primarily focused upon development of the “Pre-Wrath rapture” position within fundamentalist Christian eschatology. His three published books were:

  • “The Sign” – A discourse on the “end times,” focusing on the “Pre-Wrath Rapture”
  • The Fourth Reich – A novel about the “end times”: Adolf Hitler’s spirit is released from Hell and enters an embryo created from his cloned DNA. He’s then born in Russia and grows up to become that country’s dictator, eventually revealing his true identity to the world before the UN General Assembly. Van Kampen also stated that Hitler “best meets all requirements to be the Antichrist” in his former book, The Sign

  1. I listened to some of the beginning. Definitely will get folks thinking. I believe in pre-trib rapture as the Word says He will rescue us from the coming wrath. God’s wrath is not for the redeemed in Christ. As it says, we should encourage each other with these words. None of us know the times or dates of the end and these things may not happen in our time. A day is like a 1000 years to the Lord and a 1000 years like a day. I just focus on Jesus and I’m thankful to be with Him. God bless you Dee!

    • I totally agree with you about being rescued from the coming wrath of God – though we are not promised rescue from tribulation. That’s why I believe in the pre ‘wrath’ position and not the pre ‘trib’ position. I know quite a lot of people who believe in the pre-trib rapture, though a growing number have changed their minds after hearing the scriptural basis for the pre-wrath position. Either way, I respect your view, Ryan. God bless!

  2. Wow! I never knew he made videos of his teachings! I too think pre-wrath is the right position, though like you I don’t agree with everything he teaches. Very interesting to see it rather than read it.

Funny, at first I wondered about the name of your.blog being connected to this.
Thanks for posting this. Can’t wait for the next two.

    • Thanks for watching and commenting! I’ve read The Sign, but I agree that it’s interesting to see and hear rather than read. The next video isn’t great quality, so it will be more hearing than seeing, but it’s really very good.

Yes, Sixth Seal Ministries’ name was influenced by the Sixth Seal Rapture. Very keen observation to piece that together! No one else has ever mentioned it. I used to be very confused by the teaching I heard about the rapture, none of it ever seemed to line up with scripture as a whole. It wasn’t until God opened my eyes about the truth of 2 Thessalonians 2 and the similarities between the Sixth Seals and the Olivet discourse that things finally began making sense. I have no doubts about the pre-wrath view. It seems He is bringing many other people to this realization as well.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. God bless!
