Phil Wickham – Till I Found You

Phil Wickham – Till I Found You (Official Video)

Phil Wickham – Till I Found You, Lyrics

I searched through the Earth for something that could satisfy
A peace for the hurt I had buried deep inside
Knees on the floor, I finally found everything I needed
You lifted my soul and opened up my eyes
And I never knew anything lasts forever
Till I found You, till I found You
I never dreamed anything could be better
Till I found You, till I found You
You’re rewriting my story
And I’m brand new like a morning
Oh, I never knew anything lasts forever
Till I found You
Till I, till I found You
Till I, till I found You
Till I, till I found You
Till I, till I found You
Gone are the days I’m chasing after what won’t last
I’m done with building these castles that crumble like sand
Oh, knees on the floor
I finally…

  1. Beautiful words and message.
I know Phil and his family. I was the children’s pastor at a large church where his father was/is the worship pastor. Phil served in the children’s ministry for a brief time when he was a youth. Very good people, strong hearts for the Lord and passionate musicians. His father is one of the most sincere men of God I’ve ever known.

  2. Great. I never knew this artist. Now, I do and will definitely check his others songs. Gospel music can sometimes be life.

  3. Thanks, Dee, for sharing this song. After listening to it, I queued up some more Phil Wickham videos. Pleasant way to spend some time. BTW, this seems to be an “unplugged” version of his music, as though he were experimenting with a different sound. True? I’m not sure the background on this album, but much of his music is more robust. This is a turn to something melodic, simple, meditative. Just my take. Loved reading the reply from one of your readers who knows the Wickham family and watched Phil growing up!

      • If you’re not familiar with him, might I suggest you queue up “This Is Amazing Grace” “At Your Name” and “Your Love Awakens Me.” You’ll find he has quite a following among those of us who love Christian Contemporary Music. You’ll also find those tunes are more robust (my term). He is a true artist, it seems, who is comfortable singing various types of music.
