Rapture & Wrath Pt 4a – Silence in Heaven Before God Goes to War

Presented by David Rosenthal – ZionsHope.org

In Revelation chapter 7, the Apostle John reveals that Heaven will be alive with the wondrous sounds of a great multitude (the raptured saints) crying out: “Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.” Alongside this great multitude, angels, elders, and living creatures will bow down to worship God around His throne with powerful words of praise!

And then, immediately after the opening of the seventh seal around the scroll, without any warning or transition – John suddenly speaks of “silence in Heaven” for the duration of half an hour (Revelation 8:1). What is it that will cause the joyous multitude in Heaven to instantaneously turn from singing to silence in one breathless moment? It is the realization in Heaven that deity is about to invade humanity – that God is about to go to war to judge the earth – that will initiate the silence.

“…is committed to the proclamation of the Gospel and the preparation of God’s people for Christ’s return and the end of the age.

Zion’s Hope is a Bible-based ministry whose purpose is to proclaim to Jewish and Gentile people throughout the world their need for personal salvation through Jesus, the Messiah of Israel.

We also have a passion to help Christians increase their knowledge of the prophetic Scriptures and deepen their understanding of the importance of Israel in God’s prophetic plan. To that end, we teach Scripture in historical, geographical, and cultural context to prepare God’s people for end-time events and the return of Jesus Christ.
