I’ve been reading through my journal lately and I’ve run across some entries that are especially meaningful to me, for one reason or another. I’d like to post them here and there as I feel led. I hope you won’t mind reading my private ramblings. I’ve not edited my entries, so they may seem a little choppy now and then. Apologies, in advance.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” – Galatians 5:1 (NIV)

When I first came to know Christ, I instantly felt gloriously free! And I was free. My life changed instantaneously; things that kept me bound for most of my life, just fell off. I knew He had broken the power those things held over me, and I rejoiced in my newfound liberty! How then, these many decades later, did I manage to be bound again by so many things?

How do we lose our freedom? I don’t have an answer to this question, but I want to know. I want to search the scriptures and seek God for answers; not to the question, but for the solution.

How about you? Have you experienced this in your walk? If so, how did you handle it?
