Vessels of Honor
Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. (Philippians 1:27 NLT).

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. -Galatians 5:1 (NIV)
There are no ‘if’s’ in God’s world. And no places that are safer than other places. The center of His will is our only safety.
As you look at the state of affairs around the globe today, are you fearful? Does your faith suddenly seem inadequate to carry you through what’s coming upon the world? If so, you’re not alone.
There are many today who would say it is our Christian duty to stand up against those who seem to have taken captive our nation and our way of life. But what does the Bible say?
Love so amazing
In today’s world, disagreements are inevitable. We live in times where people are more connected with each other than ever before. And in a world of roughly 7.8 billion people, it’s difficult to make it through the day without encountering someone holding an opinion… that is at odds with our own deeply held beliefs or practices.
I trust in the Lord for protection. So why do you say to me, “Fly like a bird to the mountains for safety! The wicked are stringing their bows and fitting their arrows on the bowstrings. They shoot from the shadows at those whose hearts are right. The foundations of law and order have collapsed.
Is the trend of leaving churches directly connected to the spiritual decline of individual Christians? Or is it the other way around? Which came first? It’s the chicken or the egg syndrome and perhaps we will never know. But the truth remains.. the organized church isn’t doing well. Nor is the Christian community at large.
Hey everyone! Here’s a great post from my good friend, Ryan Callahan. Words of truth in a time of extreme lies and deception. Many are falling into deception right now, because they don’t know God or what the Word of God says. Don’t be deceived! Seek God and ask Him to open your eyes to…
“Do not become partners with those who do not believe, for what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship does light have with darkness? And what agreement does Christ have with Beliar? Or what does a believer share in common with an unbeliever? And what mutual agreement does the temple of God have with idols?…
Posting for a limited time… I figure if JM and R (privately) can show their faces, why the heck not? God bless you, everyone! From (some of) my family to yours. Brother, Me, Mom, Sister Sister, Mom, Me

I have been hearing so much lately from fellow believers about trials and suffering, and they wonder, “where is God in all of this?” It’s easy to feel abandoned when everything seems to be caving in and piling up all around us. But know for certain that God sees you. He has not left you. The days are quickly coming when our faith will be severely tested. Perhaps today is the day He has chosen to test our faith in the fires of adversity, so that when those days come we will stand firm and steadfast in Him.
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but does not have works? Can this kind of faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacks daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, keep warm and eat well,” but you do not give them what the body needs, what good is it? So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead being by itself. But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith without works and I will show you faith by my works.
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” ~Deuteronomy 31:8
Do you struggle to believe that God loves you? That He will never leave you nor forsake you? That He longs to bless and care for you? Be assured, God loves you with an undying, heroic love!
I came across this verse the other morning during my reading and I was pierced to the heart with conviction. As I read it over and over, I came to two realizations: First – This verse is a summation of what God expects of us at the most basic level in our relationships with each other and ultimately, with Him. Sort of a ‘rule of thumb’ to live by, if you will. And secondly – I’m not fully doing any of these things. And if I’m not fully doing these things, is what little I do acceptable in the eyes of God?
For many things in life, that’s really the question isn’t it? Who sets the standard? And what qualifies them to do so? In today’s society, where there seems to be no absolutes, one might even wonder if there are any standards.
How many of us have sensed the leading of the Holy Spirit in our lives only to turn away from what He has impressed upon our hearts? And if we are sensitive to His presence, don’t we feel the heaviness that comes from having grieved Him? Somehow we instinctively know that we will not move forward until we have repented and dealt with whatever issue He is addressing.
If there’s one thing the Bible is crystal clear about, it’s that we humans are profoundly valuable in the eyes of God! From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is the story of God’s immense love for His wayward creation. And its pages reveal His sacrificial plan of redemption to restore humanity to eternal fellowship with Himself…
If you follow other blogs, as I’m sure you do, you may have seen a post about me from SpaniardVIII that was posted this morning Spaniard VIII (who does not know me or my writing) makes some very serious charges about me which unfortunately, he did without first contacting me (as the Bible instructs us…
Recently, I have been accused of misrepresenting myself on WordPress. In what way, you might ask? Challenging those who hold to Traditional Biblical Views, in terms of the timing of the rapture of the Church. Not holding to a traditional Pre-Tribulational Rapture, yet promoting ministries on my blog that do, thus misleading my viewers as…
“Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.” John 8:47 ESV — Jesus — When you hear the words of God, what is your response? Are you confused? Do you rationalize; disregard; take them as anything but literal? Do…
Evangelist Francis Chan told pastors this week they must set aside their own personal agendas and allow Jesus to lead their churches. Chan spoke at the Exponential Conference Tuesday at First Baptist in Orlando, Florida, the Christian Post reports. “I realize that a lot of times I don’t act like He’s the head of the Church,” Chan…
I’m reading through Leviticus right now (need I say more?) and wow, I cannot be happier to know that we are not dependent on daily sacrifices and a multitude of rules and rituals to have a relationship with God. My mind and memory aren’t what they used to be and I’m afraid I would constantly…
On another Sabbath, Jesus entered the synagogue and was teaching. Now a man was there whose right hand was withered. The experts in the law and the Pharisees watched Jesus closely to see if He would heal on the Sabbath, so that they could find a reason to accuse Him. But He knew their thoughts,…
I find it interesting that among these two vastly different groups of people, the following is equally true: Both are building houses Both hear the words of God Both are subjected to the rain, flood, and wind beating against their house The outcome of each, lies wholly upon their elemental choice In this narrative, Jesus…
If any phrase captures our culture today it’s, “Fight to the Death!“. Or better yet, “No Holds Barred”. But the fact remains, honey catches more flies than vinegar. How do I know? Because the Bible tells me so (see above). There is more at stake than just winning an argument. And by the way, if…
